Apply's COVID-19 Response
As Apply wraps up its 7th week of remote working we want to take the opportunity to thank healthcare and essential workers who have been on the frontline of the fight against COVID-19. Their courage and sacrifice inspire us to do our part in addressing the needs of our clients.
We have launched 6 products including one which tackles the challenges brought about by COVID-19. We are dedicated to helping our community embrace change and leverage opportunities that the ‘new normal’ presents.

As the COVID-19 virus makes its way across the globe, it’s affecting our communities in different ways. Here at Apply, we have taken a number of steps to respond to the spread of the virus.
Our goal is to not only ensure the safety and health of our team members, but also the community at large. We know how crucial it is to play our role in flattening the curve. At the same time, we are dedicated to continuing our work during this time and delivering services that ensure our clients’ successes too. Some of the measures we are taking to adapt during this unusual time include:
Education: We are constantly updating our team with the latest news from Health Canada and our insurance providers.
Limitation of Business Travel: Based on the recommendations of federal and provincial authorities, all business travel has been put on hold.
Working from home (WFH): We have migrated to a WFH model. We have equipped every employee with the right hardware and software to ensure that they can work effectively from home.
We understand that isolation can impact our morale and well being. To tackle this we are encouraging team members to spend more time connecting with our community digitally. Other initiatives include:
- Checking in with employees to ensure they are conformable with their WFH setup
- Putting aside 5 minutes at the beginning of meeting to reconnect
- Recognizing people’s anniversaries and birthdays virtually
- Promoting virtual workout to ensure that we can maintain our health
- Sending out questions and trivia on Slack to promote team interaction
- Changing team events so that they can be hosted virtually. For example, hosting happy hours so that team members can mingle online
We have faith that these measures will help us to continue operating at our maximum efficiency. As the novel coronavirus situation continues to evolve, we will be keeping a close eye on it and keeping our community informed.
